I’ve got at least four different piles of CDs and DVDs around the house. I just can’t find a happy medium. I’ve tried the DVD case with matching DVD cover clipped out. I’ve tried the library with the discs still in the jewel case, but nothing satisfies my ideal organizational methods.

I reported a while back on a product called Unlocker if you are having problems unlocking your USB drive from a Windows operating system. Today I bring you another package which does the same function; however, is easier to use.
USB Drive Ejector is a simple utility which lists all USB devices on your buss and with a double click – you can unlock and eject the device.
This is a great tool to have in case you’ve ran into:
Cannot delete file, access denied
Sharing violation
Source destination file in use
File is in use by another program, etc.
However, you should always proceed with caution when a stubborn drive wont eject. Sometimes…and I mean sometimes…there are reasons. Such as virus software scanning the memory device or Windows writing to the device in cache memory. No, I’m not a “player” but the iPlayer is a nice piece of technology for cocktail conversations. The iPlayer is a standalone video player which can run content from a number of different flash media cards or USB drives. In addition, the iPlayer may be connected to either your TV or monitor.
The iPlayer has the ability to quickly and easily share photos, music and movies on your TV or monitor.
Sure, for the home user this might not be the ideal USB gadget for viewing your favorite content, BUT if you are running a business and doing trade shows the iPlayer is clearly worth a second look. Here we see a Hershey’s bar style USB dock station which is great on creativity but short on functionality.
Judging from the picture it’s hard to determine what the LCD display is for as without an internal processor of some sort there is now way to parallel the drives or sort through the data which resides on them.
Now the modular look of the device is interesting and IF you could strip together the drives for a modular type hard drive there might be a buyer out there…somewhere. Even in that instance sharing data on multiple devices would prove useless if one of the UFDs was removed.
SO, given the concept design is seems nothing more extravagant than a USB hub with customized UFDs.
