Poll Results: Did You Buy Into iPhone Hype?
Well in my book it’s official. The iPhone is a cool product and concept but the majority of us don’t care. Sure the iPhone is leading edge for technology design and will most likely reshape how we interact with our communication device(s) but the masses will wait for the masses.
This poll was launched on June 29th, when the iPhone went on sale, and only yesterday did two voters admit to purchasing an iPhone. I thought there would be more. During Independence Day I went to our local fireworks show and I saw six different buddies with the iPhone. Showing it off to their friends, neighbors,iPhone Developer Guide
Thinking about making applications for the iPhone? Apple released an iPhone developer guide to offer guidelines for creating widgets and applications that will integrate with the device’s Safari browser, mail and mapping applications.
Brando USB Microscope: If We Don’t Have It, You Don’t Need It
Brando is filling in their spectrum of product offerings to include both low-end and high-end. From the seasonal trinket like USB Christmas trees and USB Plasma Balls to higher end products like quality USB solar chargers and today; USB Microscope, Brando is building their brand. This just isn’t any old microscope either. It’s literally packed with features. Features, that of course, make total sense. The Brando USB Microscope connects via USB, houses a two port USB hub and includes a web camera for sharing. So if you can’t find it…you just don’t need it. Taking a closer look at the junk around your house or office has never been easier. Easy to share too. Zoom in from 30x, 200x 400x and 600x to see every gory detail using any one of three Continue ReadingBreak Your Fist on USB Stress Button
I definitely could have used a USB stress button today. My cable service was down all day so jumping on the internet didn’t happen for most the afternoon. For someone like me, that’s a LONG time. I guarantee this USB stress button would be broken. Brando, maker of all things USB, now has a USB stress button which strides to reduce your blood-pressure via a bright red target button to slam down upon when you’re stressed. To put some creativity into an otherwise boring product, Brando incorporates three modes; crack open an Excel spreadsheet (um, no good for me), boss punch out (again no good as I am the boss) or simulated bomb explosion – now we’re talk’in.
Finally – A Well Designed Two Port USB Solar Charger
Brando yet again steps up with another useful product. The two port USB solar charger from Brando has all the features a road warrior, power hungry gadget guy (or gal) would need. Slick design with durable enclosure and plenty-o-connectors to power up any USB gadget you throw at it. Some notable specs include output voltage to 4.5v, 5.4v, 6.4v and 9v devices. The battery is lithium with 2000mAH of power.
Irikon Is The World’s First Iris ID USB Drive
Rehoboth Technology introduced the first ever iris ID USB flash drive to one-up the biometric concept. The iris USB drive requires a user to look into the on-board camera for a quick looksie. The registration or scanning process will ID the user in around 2 seconds. There are no passwords or pin numbers to unlock the drive, only the correct iris will unlock the valuable content. With 256-bit encryption I don’t think you’ll get past this, even with some James Bond Continue ReadingMini MP3 Speaker Has Some Pop
Clearly this mini speaker will not produce the best sound, but considering the compact design and unique pop-out speaker – I for one think it has some value. Sometimes it’s just necessary to shed some noise on those around you, whether it be playback of a voice recording from your phone or PDA or share your most recent MP3 download with a buddy. Obviously there are better solutions, but this one is compact and convenient. With a watt output, 82db range and small dimensions at just 35 x 46 x 58mm it’s no wonder she only weighs 60 grams. The mini speaker also rotates a full 360 degrees as you can spin/reposition on the audio jack.
Portable Battery Beefy Enough for a Laptop
Proporta is sporting an impressive portable laptop battery with 6000mAh of power. Once more, the extra juice box includes USB ports for charging those invaluable office gadgets like phone, iPod and digital camera. The portable laptop battery comes with a selection of connectors which cater to most laptop power inputs. Once you get the low battery notification simply connect the portable battery to your laptop and you are worry free again. The battery pack is, of course, rechargeable and is extremely slim in size at just 8.7in x 5.1in x .6in) and weighs about 21oz.
