Here we see a Hershey’s bar style USB dock station which is great on creativity but short on functionality.
Judging from the picture it’s hard to determine what the LCD display is for as without an internal processor of some sort there is now way to parallel the drives or sort through the data which resides on them.
Now the modular look of the device is interesting and IF you could strip together the drives for a modular type hard drive there might be a buyer out there…somewhere. Even in that instance sharing data on multiple devices would prove useless if one of the UFDs was removed.
SO, given the concept design is seems nothing more extravagant than a USB hub with customized UFDs.

On the heels of USB missile launcher with webcam we have the Wireless USB Missile Launcher from Dream Cheeky.
I’m not sure how much value the wireless missile launcher brings to the table, other than distancing yourself another 15 feet from the firing source, the webcam version with MSN software controls seems a little better.
None-the-less, if your boss doesn’t allow Instant Message software on your PC then roll in the Wireless USB Missile Launcher. At 15 feet distance, it would be easy enough to hide it behind a plant and fire “at will” from an office down the hall.

Dream Cheeky has carved out a name for themselves with the USB missile launcher and USB circus cannon. Recently the bloggisphere reported on the updated version: USB missile launcher with webcam.
Dream Cheeky partnered with Microsoft on this one and integrated the webcam and control of the robotics through MSN instant messenger. For that reason, it’s called the USB MSN Missile Launcher.

GetUSB.info reported on the USB Engine Hub back in June ’07 from SolidAlliance and we scratched our heads on the reason why. Well the product is real (which we didn’t doubt) and below is a short clip of what the USB engine hub can do.
What we didn’t report on…or didn’t know at the time…is the USB engine also vibrates during operation. What is comical about this, and you’ll see it in the video, is the USB hub vibrates enough it could easily fall off your desk. So your USB hub could end up pushing your $1,500 DSL camera off the desk and onto the floor. Makes total sense.

I lived through the dot com bust back in the late 90’s and now the internet is buzzing again with Social Media and Social Network sites as our next big cash cow. Even the buzz about Blogging has gotten a little out-of-hand. Today I found a nice YouTube video spoofing the social network bubble and whether it’ll burst as quickly as the dot com days.
If you believe in ghosts you believe in Santa. That’s my one line take on the USB ghost radar. However, I can understand my opinion would differ from another’s. For that reason the details of the USB ghost radar is as follows:

For the most part the sensors take in information dealing with unusual magnetic waves in the room.
Now the USB gadget beeps to alert you of change in magnetic waves (possible ghosts) and uses activated LED lights to visually show you intensity of the present paranormal “being.” The LED lights on the USB ghost radar also indicate position of the Scooby Doo target along with possible “risk” factors.
It seems this product would have a very niche market.

USB Man is a man of mystery. I’ve got the picture but not the source [for buying]. The USB man takes the traditional USB hub and turns the USB ports into hands and legs. With a USB cable used to connect hub to PC, the USB man is buss powered…meaning it’s best used for small tasks such as copying files from a digital camera or UFD…not the best hub for larger jobs like using a USB hard drive as external storage. For those types of tasks, it’s best to get a dedicated power supply.
The USB man is 120mm x 102mm x 11 mm and costs about $32USD. I’ll post the source link when I find it.

Several weeks ago I picked up a 1 penny (yes 0.01) card reader for microSD cards from USB Fever. Today, I set aside some time to see how well the little bugger performs…and to my surprise, very well.
Introduction:
The microSD USB Card Reader is very compact and comes with mini lanyard and plastic case. The device is unique in that all components for the card reader sit inside the USB Type-A connector. It makes for an extremely small and portable reader, and can be, at times, difficult to pull out from a stubborn USB port. However, given the idea of what this product is all about – compact, portable performer – it didn’t bother me too much.
