Crack down on your lock down
If you’re worried about security at your unprotected desk while out grabing a Starbucks and too forgetful to secure it each time you leave, this USB Wireless PC Lock is definitely for you. This USB Powered Gadget automatically locks your computer every time you are away from it to protect your privacy.
There are two components to the lock, the transmitter and the receiver. The receiver is plugged into your computer’s USB port, while the transmitter is kept in your pocket, wallet, or anywhere else on your person. Whenever the receiver notices that the transmitter is transmitting over 6 feet away, the receiver locks the computer.
When you return the receiver will automatically unlock the computer. The transmitter is powered by a 3V DC battery which lasts 2000 hours and transmits at 434 MHz, so as long as you’re using it only while you’re at the office it can last for quite a while without a battery replacement.
Oh; and if you had a complete brain fart there is a password feature to unlock the PC in the event your transmitter found it’s way into the trashcan along with your Starbucks cup. Runs about $25USD but available only in the UK for now.
