The MERC is a full-sized keyboard with a game pad built onto its left side. To conserve space, the numeric keypad has been combined with the arrow keys and editing keys, which switch functions depending on whether or not the num lock is on. The benefits MERC offers is greater communication through an large keyboard (as compared to the smaller Zboard) and the versatility to go straight from day-to-day usage to gaming. The game pad on the left side of the keyboard is tilted at eleven degrees for ergonomic comfort and features Ideazon’s signature butterfly key structure. It also provides immediate access to eleven weapon keys, jump, crouch, tabbing, and a couple other functions. There is also a key reserved for “best weapon” and it even has the long-requested “panic” button. While the Zboard often feels like a peripheral to be used for games only, the MERC feels like a complete keyboard replacement.
