A 16GB business card from PQI

PQI has a 3mm thick 16GB hard drive just bigger then a business card. The U510 holds a maximum capacity of 16GB and is connected by a USB 2.0/ 1.1 compatible Intelligent Stick connection. It uses the patented Intelligent Stick technology and is the reason why the Card Drive itself maintains a 3mm thickness throughout. Using a retractable design, the Intelligent Stick connector is one with Card Drive and can be tucked neatly allowing U510 to retain a business card size and 3mm thickness throughout. It can be stored away in your wallet, pockets and card holders for your convenience. Protection design considerations have been applied to U510 where the casing is made of aluminum, force protection and reliability tests have been performed to ensure it’s able to withstand daily forces a wallet would endure. It’s retractable connector is flexible and can withstand 7.8kg of pull force.

GetUSB.info feels this is targeted at mid to high end consumers that require large capacity, data protection and high mobility, and is suited for business class, gamers, designers and audio visual professionals. At 16GB, it’s twice the storage capacity of the largest USB drive you’ll find. At 20~25g, 85 x 54 x 3 mm, it’s shock proof and less power consumption characteristics outweighs traditional hard drives.

On the initial release, Card Drive U510 will be available in limited soccer edition and a special edition for the eager consumer. The limited soccer edition coincides with this year’s soccer fever with U510’s casing specially treated for a soccer ball feel. The special edition is like a specially wrapped gift pack, it comes with leather card holder and hair-line surface treatment to give it a constant shinny look with no finger prints.
