chatterboxThe product manager over at Actiontec must be female to name a Skype speaker phone Chatterbox. This entry level VoIP device is a great tool for those group session conference calls. Designed at about the size of your palm the Chatterbox is a USB enabled Skype speaker phone. With two buttons for volume control and a side headset plug for some privacy the sexy looking gadget is ideal for group participation calls when using VoIP. Although GetUSB.info didn’t their hands on one, some research yields good results with improvement to be made in the duplex technology. The term duplex technology refers to the ability for a device to transmit data in two directions or to listen and speak in this case. Apparently the Chatterbox has some choppy sound when two people start talking at once. Still at just under $25 it’s a good start to VoIP customers who don’t like headsets or don’t have a microphone.chatterbox
