Doing anything to make your product stand out is the only way to get your company ahead. Over the past 3 years, going green has been a very popular theme with many companies. Qmadix is another company you can add to the list. Qmadix introduces a biodegradable USB cable.
The biodegradable USB cable works like any typical USB cable. It is USB-IF certified to guarantee performance speed. It comes in Type A and Type B connector styles. Qmadix also includes HDMI and 30 pin Apple connectors.
The big difference is the coating put on the cable. The USB biodegradable cable uses a plant-based by-product to protect the internal copper. The cable will remain stable during use in the home or office, but once put into a landfill, the degrading begins.
We suspect is has to do with moisture levels, but not 100% sure. The plant-based coating will biodegrade the cable in about

Roku has a USB looking set-top-box which runs streaming video off the Mobile High Definition Link [MHL] interface standard.
It’s a sweet package all bundled up for portability. As you can see the HDMI connector of the USB device, you click it once to a MHL supported TV and using the TV’s own remote you can steam video without the need of a bulky set-top-box.
Televisions that support MHL will be able to integrate Roku’s streaming TV platform simply by plugging in the stick. With the stick docked, it will be just like having the Roku set-top box: it adds the Roku interface (and the 400+ channels it offers), Wi-Fi connectivity, and local storage to the TV it is used on.
MHL standard is quickly becoming adopted by the major players like

These iPhones run out of juice so quickly. I’m not saying it’s a battery issue, I’m saying the devices are so adictive I use them all day long and drain the battery. From getting directions, to checking status updates, to email, facetime and photo shots, it’s in constent use.
I’ve definitely spent extra money getting Apple 30 pin cables for charging at both home and work. Caseinity has solved the consumer problem of over spending with the cord-on-board product. The product is simple as you can see from this image.
The product is a case with the USB to 30-pin connector attached to the underside of the case. Now we don’t see a width dimension of the picture, but it must be at least 7mm thick to handle the USB connector.
What I like most about this product is the

Press Release:
NUREMBERG, Germany – TE Connectivity (TE) has expanded its portfolio of industrial USB 2.0 connectors to include latching and circular sealed USB connectors.
The latching version adds retention force to USB connections and features a latching plug and receptacle with standard IP 20 protection. This USB connector adds 40 Newtons of locking strength with an integrated, positive latching mechanism and offers 1,500 mating and unmating cycles. The latching mechanism helps to avoid downtime caused by accidental unplugging and an audible and tactile feedback confirms to the user that the connector is fully engaged. Typical applications are in the mobile segment, such as hand-held devices with a controller-to-peripheral interconnection.
The latching USB connector’s high-speed standard allows the transmission of up to 480 Mb/s data plus up to 5 volts/500 milliamps over one cable. Cable assemblies of 1 to 5 meters in length make it easy to use the latching feature without having to assemble cables. Customers simply need to design-in the latching receptacle to the board side of their product. If more than one USB port is required, a double-row latching receptacle can be used. Versions are available in standard Type A configurations.

Locus Design Group has the ultimate in high quality USB cables. A good example is their USB cable [type A to type B] for $3,549 for three feet.
Using thread techniques only Locus Design Group knows, in addition to top notch raw materials and a proprietary shielding system you’ll never doubt cable quality with this bad boy.
To fully understand the craftsmanship which goes into such a product, just visit their page.
I’d love to knock them with a joke about “why” but how can one be so disrespectful toward such a twisted fate of love.

I don’t think this model has small hands, I think it’s a legitimately large USB mouse. With a size of 175mm long and 105mm wide, I don’t think you can argue. Or can you? Hit our Facebook page and give us some reasons on who or why someone would need a big USB mouse like this…

I’m sure we all have our own definition of an ideal cable, meaning a cable which connects to more then one device. For me, the new 3-in-1 cable from USB Fever is it.
The 3-in-1 cable works with any iPhone or iPad type product, any device using a microUSB connector or any device which uses miniUSB connector.
What is great about this cable is that three different connectors are seamlessly integrated with the end part of the cable. You do not see three wires splitting off for different connectors. All in-line, tight and organized. Here take a look:
In addition the iPhone 3-in-1 cable is tethered to a retractable assembly to pull the wires in when not in use.
For me, all of the above is ideal because I have one station at home which charges my kids DS, my iPhone and my Nikon point-n-shoot camera. Now I can power all three with only one cable.

I think we can agree that “USB light back” is not a common tech term among the geeks out there. What I mean is a LED system powered by USB which provide background lighting to your TV or monitor.
USB light back takes your TV one step further by supply complimentary tones and colors to what is currently being displayed on your TV. Gives you a theater effect.
The only way to fully understand, is to watch:
A quote from the creator:
The software analyzes the image on your monitor and transfers its data by USB to the Lightpack board. This board lights the surface behind a monitor, TV or laptop by means of RGB LEDs of the corresponding colors. The effect reminds us of the illumination of Phillips Ambilight TVs most of all.
The lightpack is available for all via Google Code download link. For the more advanced, but an very effective tool to enhance your TV experience.

Apple has made waves in the news with their stellar 2nd Quarter results, increased stock price, new MacBook Air and Mac Mini’s computers, no wonder many are talking about them. In addition, Apple released another OS update, the OS X Lion. Lion is available immediately via download off the app store. Some may not want to download a new 4GB OS update. For that, Apple will release their Lion on USB.
First off, lets get some pricing out of the way. The download update is retail at $30. The USB stick is set to be at $70. Not bad, but seems like their math doesn’t add up. Granted you get an 8GB stick, but lets take a look…$30 for update + $15 for an 8GB stick, the retail should around $45. Oh, and the Apple logo, that’s another $25. Okay, now my math is correct. I apologize.
However, if you have an extra 4GB or 8GB stick you can create your own USB OS X Lion stick. The USB tutorial isn’t that long and only involves three steps. For the tutorial, I’m going to redirect you to
