SmallBizBee posted a nice article today about eight tech gadgets which can help boost your busines in either profit, production, efficiency or exposure. Click for the full article and how these items can impact your business. For a quick read we have the summary:
Brando announced a $17 USB port cleaner gadget. At first glance it’s a great idea and well needed in many situations. How many times has your flash drive been stuffed into your pocket, dropped on the ground or left in the glove box? In each of those situations it’s very likely junk or debris could have made it into the USB contacts.
The USB cleaner appears to be an alcohol based solution on the pad where by it cleans the metal contacts of the USB port. Honestly, if you feel the need you can grab a alcohol swab and a pop-sickle stick and accomplish the same thing. Although it wouldn’t be nearly as cool.
If you feel the need, Brando is selling the USB cleaner for $17 plus some shipping.

Here is a Master Card commercial in the making – a USB gadget designed to randomly turn on or toggle a computer’s Cap Locks.
USB connector = $1.30
Some logic = $4.00
A bit of code = $0.00
Watching your work buddy get frustrated because of random Cap Locks = Priceless.
This DIY gadget will intermittently set the caps lock anywhere between 30 seconds and 8 minutes on the host system. What’s creative about this hell gadget is no software code is loaded to the system, thus spyware wouldn’t catch the culprit. Although it is hardware based – so probably not a good gadget trick for a laptop user or a savvy computer geek, but connecting it to the backside port of the idiots PC next to you at work – Priceless.

Lets just raddle off the use of the Cellink USB swivel gadget. Of course you have the shape, look and feel of a typical UFD. With flash memory for…well you know. Next, swivel the Cellink and you’ve got a microSD card reader. Swivel the other direction and you’ve got a direct connected to your USB port and cell phone for some wireless charging. Of course you’ll block all the other ports in the process, but that’s the cost of cool gadgetry.
If these become readily available it would be a great item to have. It seems like down-sizing your basket full of gadgets is a continual process. So here we streamline to a single UFD, forget another reader and the power cord to your cell phone.
That’s progress.
