Our Answer to a Smartphone / Tablet Dock Charging Station

With the iPhone in its 8th iteration of the product and most likely you have some older models laying around. Those older models can be put to use, but chances are, you don’t keep them charged up. So after a couple of days without connection, they are dead. I currently use an older iPhone to stream my music at work. I don’t stream from my phone, because I always seem to get disconnect to the Bluetooth speakers after I take a call. USB charge dock station This is why I like the 10 port charging station from USBFever. It’s got a logical design for holding ten devices. With the USB ports on the bottom, it keeps the plugs from hanging off the wall. Just above the USB ports are hollow channels you can bundle up the USB cable and stash it away. On top are vertical channels to hold your iPhone, iPad, Smartphone or tablet. The vertical channels are tall enough the devices will sit sturdy and proper. Finally, the design includes a good balance of power output for the devices. There are a total of 10 USB ports. Eight of which push out a 2.5amp power supply and the remaining two are 1amp. This means the charging dock station will power the tablets as well as the larger iPhone and Samsung product while you can leave the smaller phones to the 1amp channels. Japanese Company Makes Dock Station An iDream

Yet another “i” product for all those Apple gadgets, but this time we feel it’s a product worth mentioning.  The iPADock is a dock station to power or sync all your Apple gear in one handy location.  The iDevices has designated USB power ports, designated USB-to-PC sync ports and additional flash memory ports for SD cards, SDHC and Compact Flash downloading. So if you haven’t asked yourself how to clean up your sync area at work or home for the Apple gear…don’t worry, that day will come.  For example, at our house we have 4 iPhones, two iPods, a FlipVideo and several cameras.  All of them will receive power via USB.

First off, we have 4 iPhones because we’ve migrated from 3G or 3GS to the 4.  The iPods are legacy products we had before the phones, yet we still use them for workouts…and the cameras, well those are good anytime. What I like about the iPADock station are all the power and sync options. Continue Reading

The Data Tray from Brando is their most recent gadget to dress up a HHD dock station and give more functionality than just a dock. The data tray includes additional slots to house a 4 port USB hub and 15 type card reader. The HHD sled will accomidate any 2.5″ hard drive along with all the power connections needed for integration. What I like most about this dock station is the sleek look Brando has put together for the enclosure. Makes the portable USB hub or card reader almost something you want to tote around.

The advantage with this system is easily swapping out one of two 2.5 hard drives to hot swap in a USB hub or card reader for quick connection for data transfer. Given all the flexibility this system has to offer you could pick up two – one for work, one for home – at just $69 each.

Give Your iPod Some Wood

Okay, so that’s a cheezy headline, but here’s the deal – Vers Audio has this all natural cherry-veneered wooden speaker cabinet to add that classic look/feel to your office.  Personally, I think there’s nothing better than the sound coming from a wooden speaker box.  I still have some solid cherry-wood Bang&Olfsen speakers from 20 years ago – that sound absolutely awesome. Although the Vers 2X isn’t Bang&Olfsen, the 3 inch full-range speakers backed with 20-watts per channel should livin up your space.  At just 11.5″ x 5.6″ x 5.6″ the Vers 2X wont take up much room either.
