Today is Halloween 2007 and I figured to throw in a dressed up USB drive. Whazatt put enough effort into marketing this USB Chicken foot.
As Vice President Roy Barker states, “This is an opportunity to make the extraordinary out of the ordinary—to be creative and functional at the same time. We love this product for the simple fact that it can make people walking by stop, turn their head and have a laugh.â€
Well Roy – I’m not sure about a laugh, but you got a second take from me.

Banpresto of Japan is coming out with a full line of Gundam gadgets. Of the collection are two USB gadgets, USB hub and USB Ionizer.
So what is Gundam? It’s a 30 year old Odyssey for the Japanese geek, like Star Wars or Harry Potter for the folks in the West.
The original series, which introduced a war between the Earth Federation and the rebellious space colonies of Zeon, didn’t even muster a large enough audience to warrant a full season back in 1979. Yet it spawned a group of TV, movie and manga sequels, spin-offs and compilations so extensive that only the most ardent fan could even try—and probably fail—to list them all.
So given this information my US readers have fallen asleep or clicked off to another site, but for my Japanese fan base [small] Gundam is getting into

Well, we don’t get it either. The USB blender from Brando spins up when the alarm goes off. One could argue the plastic balls inside the blender make for a shocking alarm clock sound, but then you have to explain the odd looking blender in your bedroom. I doubt anyone would put this on their desk, unless it really could blend a happy hour drink.
The USB blender doesn’t stop at blending, Brando worked in four different 70’s game show tunes to compliment the retro style design. I’m still having a hard time getting over the concept of blender alarm clock. Maybe a Christmas USB gadget gift for some culinary school which Brando now thinks the masses will want?

There must be a group of young guns at Thanko as their latest USB gadget is a well thought out USB charger bracelet designed for the youthful gamer.
I would say ideal for the kid in us who can’t put down their PSP, the USB charger bracelet lets you go a little longer to reach that high score, or talk into wee hours of the morning with your significant other.

Cleverly disguised in a stick of DoubleMint gum this micro camcorder is one of the smallest spy camera’s we’ve seen.
Specifically designed to sit inside a gum pack the camcorder can record up to 33 hours of low-res video. At 15fps the device records directly to a microSD card and my record for about two hours on a single charge. When the juice runs out, recharge via USB.Here is a video clip of footage used from the Spy Camera

Quite a novel concept the USB candle holder is a repository for your USB drives. This creative docking station turns your desk drawer of flash drives into a show case of gigabytes. However it would seem to become an eclectic looking assortment as how many folks have the same looking UFD – let alone black lacquer as seen in this photo.

This is only a design concept from Chong Mingliang Sky and not available at this time. Would you buy/use it?

To digress back to middle school days has never been easier than with the USB Whack It arcade game. Or maybe Halo and Doom3 are just over done with technology and some good-old-fashion mole banging is required.
As with future cell phones the Whack It is powered via USB so don’t expect any download-able high scores or on-line gaming forum for stiff competition…just power.
Gadget Box didn’t reveal the mallet used for mole bashing, but if you’re the competitive type I’m sure an open hand and some good force will get you the high score every time. I’d say a perfect Christmas gadget gift.

Better known as Alexa, the Team Switzerland female body mouse, has some curiously placed buttons. Right clicking has never been this much fun (must be pathetic for that to apply).
The female body mouse is available in four additional jerseys, Roberta – Team Brazil, Becky – Team England, Michaela – Team Germany, Francesca – Team Italy and of course the featured body mouse, Alexa.
Although this USB gadget wouldn’t be as popular in the US, it does make for a great gift for every other nation who loves soccer football. Or if you have difficulty explaining female anatomy to your up-n-coming little guy, this could help.

So Lilli is the four legged webcam and Oscar is the 4 port USB hub. Lilli keeps an eye on Oscar with a 1.3 Mega Pixel lens.
Don’t let the bright color fool you, these USB gadgets are really green. Created by United Pepper of the UK, the internal components are RoHS environmental friendly and constructed in a fair-trade workshop in Vietnam (aren’t they all tagged that way?). In the spirit of true Green, Lillie and Oscar come packaged in 100% recycled cardboard.
Due out in October for the Christmas USB gadget rush, the USB octopus webcam runs about $41 and 4 port USB hub $27.

Happy Halloween with the USB FeverUSB Halloween decoration kit. There is no better way to dress up the kids computer during the Halloween season. After all, it wont scare many adults.
If Bob Barker where promoting this, he’d say:
“…featuring over half-a-dozen Halloween lights, green leaf cable, party hat, festive mouse pad and lovely screen saver – all this for just $18.99…
Is this for kids or adults – it’s a tough call. The latest hi-tech toys from Hammacher is a 500 foot flying rocket with USB digital camera. If you can’t make it into this seasons Super Bowl – it is a good alternative – albeit with some serious security issues.
The Estes rocket is designed to keep the digital camera always aimed towards the ground during flight. You can get up to 3 shots per flight or record 12 seconds of live video (640×480 res). The on board USB port and included cable make download of pictures or video quick and easy.
All this for just $60.
