A-Data has USB drive with solar cell

Due out in April of 2006, A-Data and MSI have introduced a solar powered USB flash drive. Well, the solar cell contributes to running the LCD display to show remaining capacity of the device, now if this thing had a headphone jack for listening to MP3s, they might be onto something. USB port on JVC KD-G720 car stereo

The JVC KD-G720 features a front USB port (on right side) to provide connectivity to thumb drives, portable media players and memory card readers. With USB being so widely accepted JVC thought this interoperatabilty would give them an edge, JVC is right. The car stereo supports MP3 and WMA file playback from any memory device or CD-R or CD-RW. Sony has style – their new digital voice recorder is sleek and packed with features. The ICD-U70 is a 1GB flash drive with digital voice recording capability. With headphone jack and mini-mic you can record up to 500 hours of audio in MP3 format (LP mode). With 2.0 high speed connection it’s easy to manage recordings or load up on MP3s. Unit is no larger then a typical thumb drive with single line plus character LCD display, back lighting, volume control, pause, 3 record modes and durable case. VoIP USB telephone adaptor from US Robotics

US Robotics introduces new USB telephone adaptor which is Skype certified. The adaptor can use VoIP technology or standard land-line connection known as PSTN. The USR9620 from US Robotics requires no additional hardware, simply connect land-line to the USR9620 then connect your analog telephone for immediate use, or connect the USR9620 to your computer via USB and use VoIP software such as Skype to place a call. Micron Tech to acquire Lexar Media

Press Release BOISE, Idaho, and FREMONT, Calif., March 8, 2006 – Micron Technology, Inc., (NYSE: MU) and Lexar Media, Inc., (Nasdaq: LEXR) today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement for Micron to acquire Lexar in a stock-for-stock merger. Under terms of the agreement, each outstanding common share of Lexar will receive 0.5625 shares of Micron stock.
