Cherry has released a state-of-the art USB keyboard with integrated high-end smart-card reader for secure payment, digital signature, encryption and access authentication. Especially designed for all applications that combine smart card technology with security, the Smartboard G83-6733 has a secure PIN entry mode (class 2 smart card reader) that provides secure data transmission making this an ideal product for corporate purchasing agents and government buyers. The Cherry keyboard uses GemCore Security Technology at the heart of the solution which means a micro controller is used to talk with the smart card and a IO chip used to ensure reliable read/write functions with the keyboard input device.
