Gigabit Ethernet USB adaptor – Finally!

The Belkin Gigabit USB 2.0 Network Adapter lets you easily tap into a gigabit network without needing the specific Ethernet Gig card. The Adapter is backward-compatible with all existing 10/100 networks. With a simple insert to your USB port the adapter will instantly allow you to transfer large video, audio, and graphics files between your workstation and the network. The Belkin Gigabit USB 2.0 Network Adapter auto-negotiates for a 10-, 100-, or 1000Mbps network and automatically adjusts for straight-through or crossover cables, so you don’t have to worry about cable type.

Keep in mind the max physical transfer rate of High Speed USB 2.0 is less then the 1000Mbps you can get from a Gig network (ya right!) so optimal performance is dependent upon the speed of your USB bus.
