We all know the George Foreman USB grill was an April Fools joke a couple years ago, well now Instructables [member] claims he can cook eggs via two USB ports. But could this be true or are we getting punked? If a USB port doesn’t put out more than 5V of power, then how the hell do you get a couple aluminum pans to heat up enough to cook eggs? I’ll let you be the judge on this one:

This isn’t your typical message board at a college campus and it’s no more likely to land you a gig, like a college message board. It’s an LED message board so you can pretty much send a message to yourself or to a co-worker within eye site of your desk. What is different about this LED message board [from others] is the ability to sound out your message as well. USB Geek has an example of a Happy Birthday song for the product which, I must admit, make someone’s birthday kinda fun and surely get a laugh out of the aging recipient.

There isn’t much to the LED message board, just the LED lights which scrolls your message along, a USB connection and simple software to create your message and set sound effects.

For just under $25 it could be a fun gadget. What I’d like to do is sync this up with the door-bell so a message would appear to those Mormon folks who always come knocking on my door. Or better yet, sync the LED message board to my Nav station in the car so I can really speak my mind.

The band Weezer posted their new music video called “Pork and Beans” on YouTube. The video features a huge collection of “internet stars” from Tay “Chocolate Rain” Zonday to Chris “Leave Britney Alone” Crocker. Weezer even plays in front of a huge deluge tribute to “Coke + Mentos“.

Taking things off topic for a moment, GetUSB’s blogging buddy, Zedomax, has a friend of a friend who just released their first official music video. I’m working hard to convince them of using USB music albums rather than vinyl or CD. Below is the official video. The song is called Mr. Pitiful. I must say…it’s good and the guy has a great voice. If this single doesn’t help him break into the music industry, than he sure as hell should try American Idol next season. Take a listen:
