Written by Richard Blanchard on April 4th, 2006. Posted in Security, Software, USB News

VolumeShield released their AntiCopy protection software which blocks PC ports from being used. The software allows a user to lock-down USB ports, firewire ports, CD/DVD writers and floppy drives. AntiCopy is available for free to personal users or Enterprise Edition for corporate users. The Enterprise Edition provides rapid deployment tools and gives control over central definition and administration rights. The software allows for password protection of all writing devices and ports, audit trail for all attempts to ports, log authorized users and copied content along with a whitelist of frequently used devices.
